Yakubu Danladi Salihu is a Nigerian engineer, politician, and grassroots mobilizer. Rising from student union leadership to become the youngest Speaker in Kwara State history at age 34. Born into the family of the late Alhaji Salihu Aliyu, a respected educationist known as Tafarkin Borgu. Danladi has built a reputation for inclusive representation, legislative innovation, and community development.
Since 2019, he has served as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, where he has championed bills and motions that focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
Yakubu Danladi is an accomplished engineer with a background in electrical and electronic engineering. After completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna (2009–2010), he worked at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, from 2010 until 2018 when he voluntarily resigned to pursue active politics.
