Omar Bolaji Gambari is a Nigerian lawyer, international corporate practitioner, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and emerging politician from Ilorin, Kwara State. He is the son of prominent Nigerian diplomat Ibrahim Agboola Gambari (former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and UN Under-Secretary-General). Gambari has built a profile blending professional expertise in law and business with active community philanthropy and grassroots political engagement in Kwara.

Omar Bolaji Gambari built a formidable career in law and finance in the United States before becoming more publicly active in Nigeria. He began his professional journey as an Investment Analyst with Merrill Lynch in its private client group in New York. His legal career includes high-profile associations, having worked with the General Legal Division of the United Nations and the prestigious New York law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He later joined Thorgood Law Firm in New York, specializing in corporate and international business law. In this capacity, he managed the firm’s Lagos office, advising on multi-billion Naira transactions across various sectors, including Oil & Gas, Real Estate, Information Technology, and Financial Advisory.
Upon his return to Nigeria, Gambari channeled his resources into community development through the Omar Bolaji Gambari Foundation (OBG Foundation) . His philanthropic work has focused heavily on education, youth empowerment, and infrastructure across Kwara State.
