Biography

Hon. Abdulmutalib Akintade Shittu is a Nigerian public servant, geospatial expert, urban planner, infrastructure specialist, and emerging politician from Offa in Kwara State. He is the son of Chief Abdullateef Tayo Shittu, Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Aare Aniwura, and Aare Musulumi of Offa.

He served as the pioneer Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS). His tenure was characterized by the digital transformation of land administration and urban planning in Kwara State.

Abdulmutalib has built a career spanning the United Kingdom and Nigeria, with experience in urban planning, GIS, infrastructure development, and land administration. He worked in the private and public sectors, including a role at the Central Bank of Nigeria, before joining the Kwara State Government. Under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, he served successively as Special Assistant on GIS, Senior Special Assistant on Kwara Geographic Information Service (KW-GIS), and pioneer Executive Chairman of KW-GIS. He currently serves as a member of the GRID3 Nigeria National Technical Committee
