Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, FNSE, popularly known as Kale Kawu, is a distinguished Nigerian electrical engineer, procurement specialist, administrator, philanthropist, and community leader. Hailing from the royal family of the Agaka segment of the Shitta Oroganloye kindred within the Alimi dynasty in Ilorin, Kwara State, he is the son of the late Alhaji Ibrahim Folorunsho Kawu Agaka, the first Dan Iya of Ilorin Emirate and the 5th Daudu Olomoba Agaka.
Known for his contributions to Nigeria’s power sector, rural electrification, and community development, Engr. Kawu has earned widespread recognition as a visionary leader and humanitarian. He is the Dan Iya of Ilorin Emirate who also doubles as the Hasken Lafiagi of Lafiagi Emirate.
Engr. Kawu’s professional career spans over three decades in Nigeria’s power sector, with a focus on rural electrification and project management. After completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) in Ilorin in 1996, he was employed by the same organization.
