Biography

Barrister Hussein Afolabi is a Nigerian legal practitioner, community mobilizer, philanthropist, and emerging political leader. A blue-blood from the Shao community in Moro Local Government Area, he carries a rich royal legacy as the grandson of Oba Yusuf Afolabi Oyerinde II, the Ohoro of Shao Kingdom (1947–2000). He is recognized for his commitment to quality representation, grassroots development, inclusive governance, and human capital empowerment.

He co-founded the Hassan and Hussein Afolabi Foundation with his twin brother, through which he runs impactful initiatives such as the N5 million “Ejire Education Trust Fund,” provision of JAMB forms for indigent students, and cash support for petty traders across Moro’s 17 wards. He is also an active member of the Moro Descendants Development Union (MODDU).
